Over the last decades, health sector in Jordan has proven its distinction, and in spite all challenges has demonstrated a high degree of efficiency. It has achieved an international and regional good reputation making Jordan an important centre in respect to qualitative healthcare services. The Hashemite leadership has taken all care to strengthen and support the health sector and has provided all needed abilities to push this sector towards more success and glory. This support and inclination has laid the base for Jordanian establishments that are considered major scientific centers sought by patients for treatment and by students and physicians for training and expertise.

In spite all the achievements of health sector that Jordan takes pride in, serious challenges are found. These challenges request consolidating efforts of all related sectors so as to enhance the Jordanian health system, maintain the achievements and build them up.

Hence it is important to activate the High Health Council which constitutes the umbrella for formulating the general policy of the health sector, and setting strategies for implementation.

In addition High Health Council helps in organizing and developing the health sector. It is capable of realizing equity in respect to health services accessibility and at the same time guaranteeing qualitative and efficient services. It is also qualified to strengthen integrated partnership contexts to control expenditure and limit duplication, meanwhile achieving sustained financing for the healthcare sector. This comes along with stressing on the priority of financial protection for all citizens which positively affects productivity and pushes forward the economical growth.

The implementation of distinguished health system through which all policy makers participate in planning the future of health services according to defined strategic objectives is the only mean to achieve prominence of this sector. This insures improving the services and achieving social and economic revenues, which calls for team work and providing services on community base rather than on individual base
